A fighter fish is a born carnivorous surface feeder and it has upturned mouth. Fighter fish diet includes zooplankton, the larvae of mosquitoes, insects like flies, crickets, and grasshoppers when a fighter fish lives in the wild. As a pet, it may consume betta pellets (a combination of mashed shrimp meal), fish meal, brine shrimp, bloodworms, Daphnia, tubifex, glassworms, beef heart, and some vitamin filled foods. A fighter fish will get richer colors, live longer, and its fin damage will be healed quickly if it consumes varieties of foods. Below shown are few of fighter fish diet.
